I have the same geranium and it needs cutting back also.

I cut back my purple smoke bush once and it came back full force, but I would advise people to wear gloves when you remove the branches. The smoke bush produces a sap that is industrial strength sticky. Soap would not take it off my hands. It required Comet cleanser powder to take it off my skin! D:

Garden cut backs and removal of so many black eyed susans this morning it does feel good to get some things done on a very mild morning. It's setting up for afternoon thunder storms here in Indiana. We need it so bad my yard is cracking. Not good this time of year. But my coneflowers are gorgeous.

Great video, it was the bees knees. We have three geranium rozannes that we cut back two weeks ago and they are starting to come back in time for a late summer show. We have eight salvia nemorosa caradonna and they will be cut back in a few weeks when they are finished blooming.

I really appreciate this type of video where you show routine garden maintenance tasks. I find it very educational. Cannot believe how big that type of geranium gets!

How do you keep yout Hostas looking so wonderful?

Beautiful looking garden, Its the bees knees. We have nearly every plant in bloom, some are finished blooming and we are waiting on rudbeckias, echinaceas, phygelius, hebes, phygelius, crocosmias, fuchsias, acanthus bears breechs, daylilies, agapanthus, kniphofias and geranium rozannes that were cut back two weeks ago and will come back for the late summer. Something to luck forward to for the rest of summer.
